Hard Way

With “Deaths of Despair” on the rise, the Baha’i teachings about wealth, poverty and nobility can literally save lives.  If you or a friend are facing financial difficulties, the uplifting approach of this little compilation can make a big difference. If understanding the spiritual and psychological effects of extreme wealth and poverty is important to you, then you will find the following articles – and the booklets associated with them – helpful. If not, skip this e-mail, or save it to read later. It is longer than most, and is more of an article than a newsletter. We will have […]

Falling into Grace

If you’ve never read Falling into Grace, perhaps now would be a good time to do so. If you’ve already read Falling into Grace, perhaps it is time to re-read it. (New bulk pricing means you can buy for your whole community.) I read this book four times in a row, which I never do with books, because finishing it was like a painful separation from a best friend and I wasn’t ready to let go! It was easy to read, made sense, described my experience, reminded me of how much I am loved and drew me closer to God. I

Wonderful Pen

Our new “May I tell you that you’re Wonderful” T-shirts were so popular that when I got a sample of this cheerful purple gel pen, I knew exactly what I wanted to say on it. This “I Think You’re WONDERFUL” pen is an affordable gift that you will want to carry with you and hand to just about everyone you know. It will cheer their hearts when they receive it, and cheer them again every time they use it. They will also remember the kind and encouraging person who gave it to them. At $.75 each, you could give them out like candy.

Stars

We just got in these new 9-pointed star mini-magnets and thought it would be a good excuse to highlight some of our many other star-shaped products. The mini-magnets are actually the inside cut-out of our best-selling car magnets. You can combine them with the large “mom and dad” stars in gold, silver or prismatic to make a star “family” on the back of your car, or buy the small prismatic stars by the dozen for crafts and decorating. They will stick to the metal surfaces of your car, most refrigerators, filing cabinets, etc. When I started looking for the other kinds of

Date Books

This weekend we celebrate the Twin Festival of The Birth of Baha’u’llah and the Birth of the Bab. I hope you take this opportunity to set aside the current craziness and look forward to the bright future we have been promised. In honor of Baha’u’llah’s Birthday, I’m putting the 50-pack of these useful teaching cards on sale. They contain an entire pamphlet’s worth of information in a 2-sided double-businesscard-sized card. Carry them with you, or drop one in an envelop with a letter to a friend.  They come scored for easy folding, and have a place to write your contact information on

Two New Shirts

This may be my favorite T-shirt design of all time. The metallic gold ink gives it an elegant feel, while the font feels both reverent and dynamic. The six religious symbols around the words are sure to start a lot of interesting conversations as you explain that EVERY religion teaches some form of The Golden Rule. Consider carrying some of our Golden Rule teaching cards or bookmarks with you when you wear it. Two Sided! Symbols included are the Baha’i star, Christian Cross, Buddhist wheel, Hindu Ohm, Islamic Crescent & Star and Jewish star. These symbols are repeated in chronological order in a line of circles

Can you help hospitals?

With over 60,000 copies in print, we knew that people loved our give-away Interfaith Book of Comfort and Healing. Baha’i Communities have given away thousands, and hospital chaplains have ordered thousands more. What we didn’t expect was the popularity of our Deluxe Gift Edition. Both Baha’is and Chaplains were buying them in bulk to give to personal friends who were facing health issues. Unfortunately, because they were “Print on Demand,” they were $9.95 each, so people saved them for special friends. This week we received our first batch of 1,500 offset printed editions. Not only are they nicer (printed spine and blue

Calendars are in

Our 2021/2022 American Baha’i Wall Calendars are more beautiful than ever.  We’ve been making these two-year calendars for several years now. We’ve fine-tuned their design to give you the very best in beauty and utility. They are: More useful: Our calendars include popular American holidays alongside Bahá’í Feasts and Holy Days. You can tell, for example, when Thanksgiving falls in relation to the Day of the Covenant. National holidays, and other important days like Mother’s Day are marked with squares, while Bahá’í Feasts and Holy Days are marked in different colors of circles. More beautiful: I am thrilled to be able to

Pandemic Virtues

If you’ve read any of my books, then you know that the secret of happiness is falling in love with virtues, and practicing them every chance you get. Unfortunately, many virtues, such as kindness, courtesy, mercy, and many forms of service only make sense when we are interacting with other people. How do you practice virtues when you are alone, or with the same few people every single day? The last 6 months of quarantine have required us to increase our reliance on some virtues, such as hope, patience and resilience. These help us get through the hard times. But

Random Orphan Shirts

This week I’m cleaning out my closet. I started by finding a box of beautiful 100% cotton long-sleeve mock-turtleneck shirts and tested out my gold and silver interfaith design on them. It was a great combination, so I’m printing up the 20 I have and am offering them at a special $11.95 price. With fall around the corner, grab one while you can. Are you brave enough to order a random Baha’i T-shirt?  I also decided that it is time to clear out all of the random T-shirts that have been piling up. These are perfect, or near-perfect shirts, but they

New Window Decals

Interfaith Window Decals Promote a Positive Social Norm of Inclusion A few weeks ago I wrote about the value of creating a “social norm” that encouraged people to lean towards unity and inclusion. One of the tools I suggested was our popular “No Room in My Heart for Prejudice” window decals. So many people took me up on the idea of buying them in bulk and giving them out to friends that I decided to do the same thing with my Interfaith Window Decals. This design has attracted many people to the idea of interfaith fellowship. The only problem was that I

Reflections from the Sacred Writings of the Bahai Faith

50% off  Reflections from the Sacred Writings of the Baha’i Faith – through August Reflections is a lovely compilation of prayers and sacred writings that is appropriate for interested seekers as well as anyone attending a Study Circle.  It was originally developed as a place to find all of the memorization quotations from the first seven Ruhi books in one place. Over the years, however, the Ruhi books have been updated so some of the quotations are not necessarily the same. That means I can no longer call it “all the Ruhi Memorization Quotations” but I can call it “a compilation of some of the best-loved quotations in Baha’i
