Because we received several suggestions urging us to offer gift cards, we are happy to have found a way to provide them.
What is a Gift Card/Fund Allocation Card?
It is a digital product that is purchased by someone and then used by the recipient as money. It is essentially a way to add money to someone’s account.
For example, you might want to purchase one and give it as a gift for a birthday, a holiday, or in recognition of a special event or achievement. We have three cards to match those needs.
But more than that, an LSA can also use them to allocate funds for an event so that someone other than the treasurer can purchase literature or gifts while staying within a budget. Those get the “Community Event Allocated Funds” card.
All four cards can be purchased in a range of dollar amounts. If you don’t see the amount you want, just order two or more!
When a card is purchased:
You will need the email address of the recipient. The funds will be attached to their email for redeeming. (They don’t have to already have an account.)
You can choose the amount and the day when it will be emailed to the receiver.
You will be asked your name, and you can add a personal message.
If you decide to pay for your order by check or by calling us with a credit card number, the gift card will become active after we receive payment.
Redeeming Gift Cards:
Once the recipient logs in or opens a new account using their email address, they can easily view and use their gift cards.
From the account page, a user can view their gift card balance, view their gift card history and redeem any cards that are unused and active.
On the check out page, there will be a check box asking if you would like to apply any available gift card balance.
Cards remain active for one year after the date of issue.
