Karen and I have been living and working together 24/7 for over 20 years, so this “stay at home” thing is not much of a change for us. But for many couples and families, the quarantine is creating new stresses – either because you feel isolated, or because you feel like you have no “alone” time, or, oddly, both at the same time.
Here are some books and resources that might help.
And yes, although we are not “essential” we are still in operation because we can do our work without leaving home except to drop off a tub of boxes at the local Post Office and back away!
Above is a brand-new book by Susanne Alexander, founder of Marriage Transformation® and author of several books on marriage, relationships, and living a balanced life, including Marriage – Pure Gold.
Creating Well-Being for Couples and Families features 28 short focus topics for young couples and young parents with full lives. Click on the picture to read more.
Of course, relationships are not the only source of stress during this time. You may be worrying about your health, wondering why bad things are happening in the world, dealing with unhealthy patterns that surface when normal distractions are unavailable, or a host of other personal issues.
Now is a good time to step back and reevaluate your life, your priorities, your sense of purpose, and your unconscious patterns. We have a whole host of books to help with that, starting with the many books that I have written, plus two dozen more. You can see them all here.
The biggest thing on people’s minds, though, is health and healing. Last week I announced our special 25% off sale on our Interfaith Resources Book of Comfort and Healing. Check your old e-mails to find out more.
We also have a whole range of other products focused on comfort and healing, including our metal healing prayer coins, our Three Tools of Healing poster/pamphlet, our comfort booklets, In Search of Healing and When You’re Down and Troubled, the longer compilation Ocean of Healing, our Healing Prayer Cards and more. Click here to see them all.
All of these things can be sent through the mail so you can create strong spiritual connections while remaining physically distant. To make it easy, we carry A7 envelopes to go with the Book of Comfort and Healing, and A6 envelopes for The Ocean of Healing and our Gift of Prayers. Remember to attach enough postage ($.70 for Ocean of Healing and $.85 for Comfort and Healing, if you don’t add anything else to the envelope).
