Ten Religious Symbols Teaching Card

A interfaith teaching card that promotes a “spirit of friendliness and fellowship” among all religions, and includes the names and matching symbols for ten major faith communities.

“O People! Consort with the followers of all religions in a spirit of friendliness and fellowship.”

We produce lots of products that include multiple religious symbols, so I am constantly being asked what they all stand for. If that happens to you, then these colorful cards are your answer. They go beyond the six that I include in my interfaith rosette to include ten major religions. They are listed with their symbols on the back in alphabetical order: Baha’i Faith, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Taoism and Traditional, which includes Native American and other aboriginal religions.

The ten were selected based on the size of their community in the United States. I understand that there are religions that are bigger elsewhere, but these are the ones more people in the US are familiar with.

These are a low-key way to spread awareness of different religions and to promote “a spirit of friendliness and fellowship.”
Include them with any gift you might give that includes religious symbols. Hand them out at interfaith and diversity festivals. Have a stack handy if you are using one of our interfaith posters or table skirts so you can answer questions.
