Description

This booklet was originally developed to help people celebrate the Bicentenary of the Birth of Baha’u’llah, but the ideas presented can really be used to introduce the Faith to friends and family at any time. With the Centenary of the Ascension of Abdu’l-Baha coming up, (and the pandemic finally winding down) you will find all sorts of helpful hints for holding small gathering in your home.

Here is a way to celebrate the Centenary all year round, even if you are a community of only one person.

The “Light of Unity” Dinner Party Booklet is a 24-page guide that includes introductory stories, songs, prayers, discussion questions, and crafts that Bahá’ís can use to host a dinner in their home to celebrate significant Baha’i events.

Hosting a dinner is something anyone can do. The booklet is ideal for use with 2-10 participants of all ages. It can be used as part of a meal, potluck gathering, or dessert and tea with time for discussion. The material is designed to create a spiritual atmosphere and spark authentic, meaningful conversations. It takes about an hour and half to complete.

You and your guests can go through the book together, step-by-step and page-by-page, or use it as starting point for your own discussion and activities. It takes the pressure off of trying to invent a celebration from scratch.

By the way, if you have the computer skills and printer capable of printing a booklet yourself, you can bypass me and download the file yourself here.
