The centenary of the passing of Abdu’l-Baha will be observed November 27 2021. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to give a dignified portrait of Abdu’l-Baha to every Baha’i in the community on that occasion?
For some reason, photos of Abdu’l-Baha have become difficult to find. Either they are of poor quality, or they are very expensive. We’ve solved that problem by offset printing these in large enough quantity that we can sell them for as little as $1.50 each in bulk. (frame not included)
In spite of their low cost, they looks almost exactly like they were printed in a lab on expensive photo paper.
The image we chose is the only known full-color photograph of him in existence. It was taken using a newly-developed technology when he was visiting Paris France in October 1911.
These are perfectly sized to slide into a standard 8×10 frame. You can get a wide variety of frames at places like Dollar Tree for as little as $1 each (I’ve pictured 3 here). This makes them very valuable gifts on a tight budget. People will swear you spent $20-$30 each for them. For a little more, add a standard mat and put them in a 11×14″ frame.
Another great gift to commemorate the centenary of His passing this November is this unique “I am with you always” medallion on a waxed cord. Originally created to commemorate His visit to America, it is a reminder of two promises – that He is with us, and that if we have faith, we will receive power and blessings.
It comes in a pouch (currently velour rather than satin) and a photograph with a quotation on the back.
We have five months before it is time to commemorate this important event in the history of the Faith. You don’t need to order anything now, but it would be wise to start thinking ahead. As usual, if you wait till the last few weeks, I may be out of the item you were counting on.
