Infant shirts vary widely between brands. Note that there is a one-inch tolerance on the size, so I always recommend sizing up. Having said all that, this is “baby rib” fabric, which is very stretchy, and the bodysuits are designed to fit snugly.
If the baby isn’t born yet, and you don’t know what size it is going to be, play it safe and get a 12-month size or larger. They can always grow into a bigger size, but won’t shrink. I was tempted to delete the two smaller sizes, but there really are babies that small.
I know it seems crazy that infant shirts cost more than adult shirts, but it isn’t the amount of fabric, it is the amount of detailed work that goes into making these top-quality outfits.
The ring-spun cotton majority of the infant baby rib bodysuit makes it supremely soft. This is essential for younglings. Any chafing, itching or other discomfort equals a deal-breaker. A one-piece design, these bodysuits have lap shoulders. This inclusion is essential for dealing with fidgeting and adjusting. These are made of 100% ring-spun cotton for solid colors. Other color variations include polyester.
