One Light Many Lamps Mini-book

There are millions of people out there who would like to believe that all religions come from God. But they just can’t reconcile the glaring apparent differences. This booklet (inspired by our best-selling teaching card and banner) offers a rational explanation for the differences between religions. It may not convince all skeptics, but it will ease the concerns of the open-minded.

Like the Secret of Happiness, this is formatted as a gift book. It has quotations from various religions on every other page. The book also demonstrates the similarities between religious scripture while explaining the reasons for the differences in their theology. Anyone who is intrigued by the cover will be inspired by the information inside.

One Light Many Lamps is written in a conversational tone. It uses the metaphor of the school to explain progressive revelation. The argument is the differences between major religions is no greater than the differences between the beliefs of individual Christians. Supporting evidence includes quotes from  a survey that claims 21% of the Christians in America believe that they are reincarnated! Conflicting beliefs, therefore, do not prove differences in origin, only differences in interpretation.

Written by Justice St Rain, author of My Baha’i Faith and The Rumor of Christ’s Return.

The “One Light, Many Lamps” minibook is our favorite gift for a seeker who knows a bit about the Faith, and is ready for the second step. It presents the principle of Progressive Revelation in a non-threatening way. We’ve even used the quotes in it in an on-air devotional on our radio station. It is well thought out and reasonable. We recommend it. Doris and Roger Rasmussen, Desert Rose Baha’i Institute
