Kyoko is twelve years old. Her parents have just been asked to work at the Bahai World Center in Haifa, Israel. Kyoko can’t believe her ears. She isn’t sure where Israel is, but she knows it is far away from Japan and from her best friend.
Vered Ehsani grew up in Canada, worked for several years at the Bahai World Center in Haifa, and now lives in Nairobi, Kenya, with her husband and son. Vered is a civil engineer who first began writing for children when working with Kiser Barnes in Haifa.
Barbara Casterline is an American who has lived in Japan with her husband for the pasts twenty-five years. She has two daughters and one grandchild. She has illustrated two other Brilliant Book titles, collarating with A.R. Breneman on ‘A Violet in the Garden, and on the out of print ‘A Bahai Alphabet Book’.
Five chapters, 48 pages, with a drawing at the beginning of each chapter, this is geared towards 8-12 year olds.
