This charming 6×6 card can be used as a wedding card. Add a slip of paper inside with the appropriate details and it becomes a low-key wedding invitation.
The cover has a watercolor painting of two birds in a nest, with the excerpt from a Baha’i marriage prayer that says, “O peerless Lord! Wed thou in the heaven of thy mercy these two birds of the nest of Thy love.” The art is by Baha’i pioneer artist Susan Reed.
The back of the card has the entire prayer, bordered by a circle of roses.
The inside is completely blank, so you can add your good wishes, or, as I said, add an insert to make it an invitation – or a thank-you card for wedding gifts.
Sold with square white envelopes. Please note in 2023, Square envelopes will cost you an extra $0.39 per letter in addition to the postage required for the weight and dimensions of your envelope. For 1 oz letters this means you’ll need a $0.99 stamp (instead of a $0.60 stamp) and for wedding invitations that weigh 2oz you’ll need a $1.23 stamp (instead of a $0.84 stamp). If you are mailing a lot of them, buy the special stamps, otherwise, just add an extra Forever stamp and save the effort. Please check for price increases in the years to come.
