Gentle yet challenging, simple yet profound, this pamphlet is a non-threatening way to encourage people to think more deeply about issues of Race in America. Without accusing anyone of anything, it outlines the benefits that racial harmony brings to everyone in society, and offers friendly, practical and spiritually-focused actions that each individual can take to move us in a more unified direction.
Only the most die-hard racist will find anything here to object to, and only the most enlightened will read it without gaining at least a glimmer of new insight. Much of that new insight comes from the use of thirteen Baha’i quotations worked into the different points, and added to a side-bar. It will provoke deep thought and inspire meaningful conversations.
For Baha’is, the most challenging part of the pamphlet may be the “Ten Things Baha’is Can Do to Help.” It presents a positive vision of the Baha’i Community that we must continually strive to live up to. Giving out this pamphlet is a commitment that you will try your best.
