Sunray: Angel of Light
Sunray is an angel who is visiting a group of children who are worried about what will happen to them when they die. Though this may sound like an odd theme for a children’s CD, it is beautifully executed, combining short “talking” tracks with beautiful spiritually-themed songs. These songs include classics by Seals and Crofts, and Red Grammer, plus newer songs that you will love.
Sunray is played by singer/songwriter Christina Quinn, who wowed the audience in Milwaukee with her rendition of the Long Healing Prayer. She really does sing like an angel.
The production quality of the CD is completely professional, as it was produced by Marcia Day. Before her passing, Marcia produced many of the hits that Bahá’ís love including The Children’s Ayyam-i-ha Album with William Sears, The Lote Tree also with William Sears, Paul Parrish Sacred Writings and The Royal Falcom with Parrish and Toppano. Some of her other projects include the Pilgrimage Film with Ruhiyyih Khanum and the Television Series Spiritual Revolution. She began her career traveling and managing the hit group Seals and Crofts during their national tours. She was involved in the producton of all their albums from 1964 to 1985.
