You have questions; Abdu’l-Baha has answers.
This is the third Baha’i book I ever read, and is still one of my favorites. The questioner, Laura Clifford Barney, sat at Abdu’l-Baha’s table in Haifa and asked the kinds of questions that Western Christians and other enquiring minds desperately want to know the answers to. You can read it straight through, or skip directly to the questions that keep you up at night.
Here you will find explanations of Christian scripture, descriptions of the soul and its powers, the nature of the afterlife, and even answers to economic and social issues that are shaping headlines today.
Seekers will find the answers their clergy couldn’t give them, and long-time Baha’is really should read it again before trying to explain the Baha’i teachings to anyone. I can’t tell you how many online discussions I’ve seen resolved through a short posting from this book.
Yes, this is the latest translation.
Note: I carry this as a courtesy for Baha’i teachers. You can get this for $1.50 less from the Baha’i Distribution Service. They are no longer giving a wholesale discount on it, so I’ve had to mark it up a little.
